3 (A)The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, is, Prepare the way of the Lord: make his paths straight.

4 (B)[a]John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the [b]baptism of amendment of life, for remission of sins.

5 And all the country of Judea, and they of Jerusalem went out unto him, and were all baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
